Smart Tips on HD Television Speakers

Replacing the standard speaker on the Television with a dedicated speaker system will make a substantial difference in the sound quality of your system, and your experience with it. Obviously, for someone who only watches chat shows and soaps, this won’t really be of benefit because this type of sound improvement really impresses when you are watching films, music DVD’s and other similar shows. Of course most good TVs have built-in speakers but nothing compares to a full surround audio system. Many people that buy a HD Television do so after being suitably impressed by one their neighbor’s or close friend’s has demonstrated theirs.

Don’t rush out to your local store for an HD television until you aware of how much you can comfortably spend and just exactly you want it for! If you are going to be buying – or already have – surround sound speakers, as a general rule of thumb, 10 percent of the TV’s cost should be spent on speaker cabling. You will most likely need an amp, or av receiver also to control the external speakers. This is an additional cost running into hundreds or even thousands and cannot be explained in one single article.

When buying and installing speakers you need to look at around five speakers to each sub-woofer that is fitted. Most speaker systems are configured so there are two rear speakers, left and right plus a central speaker. Each is independent and although the positions done have to be equal the optimum seating place is in the middle of them all. You can configure the av receivers and amplifiers to optimize the volume output and place the speaker accordingly.

The basic function of a sub-woofer is to give the movie sound a real-life feel so having one would improve your overall movie viewing experience. It can lend life to sound and we all know this when we watch movies in cinema halls. Besides the deep bass frequencies which the sub woofers emit have a surrounding effect since they are at par or below the level of human hearing. It is impossible to detect from which direction the sound is coming, so the sound of an earthquake feels as if it is happening all around us.

While the position of the sub woofer is just about anywhere in the room but to get optimum output, you have to consider the size of the room, the type of flooring it has, the furnishing fabrics and the construction of the wall. The ideal position however of the sub woofer is in the front section of the room immediately to the right or left of the primary speakers. Second hand speakers are of course less expensive. One of the most superior choices for speakers, budget permitting is the Canton movie CD-1 (now CD-101) which has a sleek aluminum construction, superior looks, premium sound production and very attractive in its appearance.
